A Personal Note from Charleen....
When I look back, the majority of my working adult life is in the public safety arena. I came from a banking and customer service background and changed jobs frankly because a 911 operator earned more (cash is still king). Fast forward thirty plus years, and I have never looked back.
In 2015, after 29 1/2 years of working in a 911 center and 23 years as a Communications Supervisor, I retired. The change was an opportunity to for me utilize the managerial, supervisory and training experience I had garnered over the years as a consultant/trainer in the public and private sector. I am an APCO Certified Training Officer and Florida Department of Health Certified Public Safety Telecommunicator. Additionally, during my tenure, I took full advantage of educational opportunities and completed many management and training seminars and certification programs in addition to a formal education.
The experiences, opportunities, personal relationships, personal growth, and the feeling of contributing to "meaningful work." has not only improved my outlook on life but challenged me and pushed me past my comfort zone I enjoy consulting, teaching, training, and mentoring others and assisting them in reaching their goals.
When not working I enjoy quiet time, entrepreneurial pursuits, spending time with family and friends, home decor, and travel.
The student has become the teacher, and I love it!
