Karolyn was employed with the Orlando Police Department for nearly 18 years. During her tenure with the Department, she received numerous merit awards, including being the Radio Dispatcher during two different Active Shooter events. Karolyn attended University of Central Florida and received her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a Minor in Political Science. After retiring early from the Department in late 2016, she joined Valencia College as an adjunct instructor and the Public Safety Program Coordinator, where she still teaches today.
Erica has been a Telecommunications professional for over 17 years with the Orlando Police Department. During her tenure, she has received numerous accommodation for her outstanding performance. Erica is also an APCO Certified Training Officer. During her free time, Erica is a real estate agent who helps people achieve their dreams of home-ownership.
Charleen Oliver is a public safety professional with 30 years of experience working in telecommunications. She has 24 years of supervisory experience with personnel management, managing day to day operations of a communications center, improving quality assurance and developing and implementing staff training. Charleen has a certification as a Florida Certified Public Manager (CPM) from Florida State University and a BS in accounting and finance from Florida Southern University.
Lem has held a variety of roles within the realm of public safety. Over the past 15 years, his roles have ranged from firefighter/EMT, to management roles, and also a Telecommunicator. Lem recently moved from the Orlando Police Department, to the budding Orange County Public Schools District Police Department. He is excited for the opportunity to help this fledging Department grow and expand. In his free time, Lem is extremely active in his church and community.
